Gina Carano in an interview live at Strikeforce Grand Prix announced that she will in fact be returning to MMA in 2011.

Well the fans have been waiting for this. The female face of MMA she’s joining me right now Gina Carano!
Well you haven’t been cageside in quite a while you been pursuing a lot of endeavors, tell us what you been up to?
Gina Carano:
Umm, actually did a movie with a Steven Soderbergh it’s called Hawire so..
Reporter:
Ya and when can we expect to see that out?
Gina Carano:
Later on this summer I think actually.
Reporter:
Ya well is this official. Are you coming back?
Gina Carano:
Yes.

Fans have been more than eager to see the blisteringly beautiful vixen that is Gina Carano return to action since her TKO defeat over a year ago. Ariel Helwai spoke to Scott Coker on MMAFighting.com’s The MMA Hour on Monday about Gina Carano’s future in the fight game:
I believe she’ll be back in the cage this year. From what I know of her, she is a competitor at heart; she’s going to want to fight… She’s not going to want to end her career the way it ended. So, I think she’ll be back.”
